Student Outcomes
AI PROJECT
Students work on a mentor-led group project in a domain of their choice and present their work to peers and instructors on the final day. They gain access to an online platform for continuous learning after the program, including additional projects in a variety of domains.
AI CAREERS AND VENTURES
Students learn about the AI research and industry work of the instructors in domains such as healthcare, transportation, and specialized chat applications. They receive guidance on pursuing a career in AI moving forward!
PRE-COLLEGE PREPARATION
Students go through workshops on preparing for top-ranked CS/AI programs in the US, gaining inspiration from successful Stanford admission essays and learning how to communicate their project experiences effectively.
Sample Schedule
The program structure and curriculum will be similar to the in-person program.
Assignments and project instruction will be customized for a more personalized learning experience in the live online setting.
PERSONALIZED INSTRUCTION
COLLABORATIVE LEARNING
ONLINE PORTAL
With a student-teacher ratio of 4:1, students receive personalized instruction and guidance online; meeting during their designated time slot and communicating through video and chat.
Students are able to participate in discussions about modern AI technologies as a group, work on hands-on coding assignments individually, and share their efforts by sharing their screen with the rest of the class.
Students work closely with their peers throughout various activities and interact with multiple instructors throughout the program.
In addition to technical AI work, students participate in design-thinking games, discussions about the ethics of AI, pre-college preparation workshops, and a final presentation showcase, leading to an overall rich social experience in the virtual context.
Students gain access to an online portal with quizzes, coding assignments, and additional AI projects for students to continue learning outside of class sessions.
The portal consists of 6+ complete AI projects in domains such as healthcare, biology, transportation and media for students to continue developing their skills in AI after the program!
AI + HEALTHCARE
E.g. using computer vision to diagnose patients based on medical scans such as X-rays.
AI + SUSTAINABILITY
E.g. using AI to efficiently place energy creating sources (wind, solar, gas) across a country to maximize coverage.
AI + MOBILITY
E.g. using AI to create a safe and synchronized auto pilot system for cars.
AI + ECONOMICS AND FINANCE
E.g. using machine learning to predict returns of portfolios and create optimal combinations of assets.
